1. Length and width do not include the inlet and outlet which protrude from either the rear or ends of the manifold.
2. Absorber area calculated as: D x L x N where:
.....W = wide of the absorber plate, in this case 0.06m
.....L = exposed length of absorber plate: For 1.7m tubes this is 1.53m
.....N = number of tubes (10, 20)
.....Eg. 0.059 x 1.6 x 10 = 0.94m2 absorber area (1m2 = 10.76ft2)
3. Calculated simply as overall length (including frame) x overall width.
4.  SP Models are named as follows:
SP-(Port Location)(Tube Type)(Manifold Casing Material) - (Tube Number)
Port Location: R = Rear, S = Side
Tube Type:70/1700 = Superconduction metal heat pipe vacuum tubes
Manifold Casing Material:A=aluminum alloy shell.
Tube Number:  10, 20
Eg. SP-S70/1700A-20 = side port with 20 Superconduction metal heat pipe vacuum tubes, aluminum alloy shell.
